Her Secret Crush: An Interracial Friends-to-Lovers Romance Her Secret Crush: An Interracial Friends-to-Lovers Romance by Alisha Gray

                  Synopsis

He’s protective, loyal, and hotter than the devil with a fever. Lone Creek’s golden boy Mason Hawthorne has been in my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been fantasizing about him ever since.

Not that he knows it.

And why would he? Why would kind, respectful, gorgeous Mason Hawthorne ever suspect nerdy, mousy, frumpy me of wanting to tear his clothes off? He thinks of me as a sister. Not to mention, the soul-crushing relationship I’ve been in for the last five years kind of took me out of the running.

But now I’m single and, well, maybe not ready to mingle yet. My life is in shambles and my confidence is non-existent. But once Mason offers me a job, my burning need for him becomes impossible to ignore.

Luckily for me, my godmother is in town and she’s offering to give me the makeover of a lifetime. One that will be sure to capture his attention.

Here’s to coming out of hiding. Here’s to swan-like transformations.

Here’s to finally getting my hands on my secret crush

                                                                       Book Review
Obviously, this story is designed to keep you reading. It's heart-racing, in a good way, and leaves you breathless. The love story that develops between Maya and Mason is cute and steamy scenes are steamy. These characters have tons of chemistry and as a reader, you can feel that deep within your bones. The story flowed well producing just the right amount of romance, steam, and conflict involving their past lovers. True to its genre it packed a punch on the parts designed to produce a level of sexiness. It wasn't long and that works well when you want to escape for a bit. I give this book 4 stars because it's quirky, romantic, and sexy. I will need to keep an eye out for the next installment. If you enjoy steamy romance novels, this is a good one to read.
