Stalking Alexis Series
Stalking Alexis by Ashantay Keys
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
SYNOPSIS
Stalking Alexis is a love story riddled with suspense, attitudes and drama. With a demanding career, three teenage daughters, an addiction and three failed marriages, Alexis’ world is full of turmoil. Stalking Alexis will keep you on edge as Alexis and her family try to handle the wrath of a crazed man! Being the strong woman that she is, will Alexis be able to rid herself of what's to come?
BOOK REVIEW
I think I missed why exactly Tarik began stalking Alexis. Was it simply because she was the nurse that was there when his mother died OR was it because she was his nurse and was there when he became alert? The story moved rather quickly. I liked that once Alexis moved away from the old habit of depending on the 3 exes, she met her future. Tarik was forceful and a bit creepy. The author took us along for the creepy ride as Tarik's obsession grew, which I think was well written.
However, book two added a supernatural element that was unexpected and almost out of place. It changed the tone of the story for me. I think had there been a lead in or hint to it in book 1, it would have come across easier to accept. It took away the tension that the author had expertly built in book one, which was disappointing. Overall, the series was okay, but could have been good had the supernatural element not come into play. But don't take my word for it, you can secure your copy below and suppor the author by leaving a review. Let me know what you think.
