Making Love to A Dope Boy: A Street Lit Romance
Making Love to A Dope Boy: A Street Lit Romance by Kandie Marie
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
Synopsis
Nahima is a young, educated woman who takes no shit and holds her own. Thrown into the street life by association, she quickly snatches the heart of Isaziah, one of Tampa, Florida's ruthless dope boys.
Isaziah is heavy in the streets and is the HNIC of his organization. Young, ambitious, and ruthless, he is feared by many, including his clique. That’s until he meets the young and ambitious Nahima.
With love in the air, this young couple is oblivious to the fact that danger is looming over their heads, and no one can be trusted. They must soon come up with a plan to stay alive. Will the bond they share be enough to survive the streets, or will they fold under pressure?
Book Review
The author did a great job of creating chemistry between the co-primaries/protagonists. The storyline was well executed with humor, drama, betrayal and good movement. The betrayal that occurred was predictable, but still a fun ride to the reveal. The only critique would be that the number of grammatical errors disrupted the flow of the story.
